This  guitar started life as a kit from Stew Mac.  The body and neck arrived unfinished and the choice was left to me  about color and finish.  I think antique amber  really brought out the grain of the flame maple top.  16 coats of nitrocellulose clear lacquer really makes this baby pop.  Just like a real Les Paul  this  guitar has a neck adhered to body construction which is so important for proper sustain.  I upgraded the  kit pickups with Seymour Duncan vintage 58′ s.  The pickup covers have gold leaf  which kind of gives a relic  appeal.  All in all  I was very satisfied with the  end result.
